(More customer reviews)I recently purchased a linksys WPC54GR network adapter frome amazon.com and installed it in my older compaq laptop computer. It was purchased to replace a linksys WPC54R adapter which I had been using because I needed better range. The installation went well because I updated the compaq's operating system to windows 2000 pro. Originally the compaq had windows 98SE and I had a terrable time installing the 54G and I did not want to go through that again. As far as it's preformance goes I'm not sure if it's giving me all that much better range as before but I think it runs much faster, so I would give it four stars.
